Their last two failed to finish in 60 minutes, giving the Sabres overtime for their workload. They won both.Buffalo stopped the Rangers in OT on Sunday, getting a goal from Patrick Kaleta to earn a 2-1 victory. Tim Connolly scored in overtime the previous game, giving Buffalo a 4-3 victory over Philadelphia."That seems to be the difference between playoff teams and teams that don't make it," goalie Ryan Miller said. "The prior two seasons, we weren't coming back to win these games, weren't hanging in long enough.

Overtime has suddenly become Miller Time. Ryan Miller is now living up to the catch phrase he wasn't allowed to display on his Olympic mask. The Buffalo goalie made 35 saves and was the beneficiary of Patrick Kaleta's goal 2:22 into overtime that gave the Sabres a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Sunday night.

Patrick Kaleta probably wouldn't mind too much if the Sabres played at Madison Square Garden more than twice per season. The Buffalo native notched his third goal in two games at MSG, this one in overtime, to give the Sabres a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Sunday. The win is Buffalo's second straight and puts them back in sole possession of first place in the Northeast Division.

Sabres forward Paul Gaustad took the ice and skated on his own on Saturday morning, four days after sustaining an upper-body injury against the Penguins. Gaustad appeared to suffer the injury to his hand during a third period fight with Mike Rupp during the loss. The Sabres, coming off an overtime win over the Flyers on Friday to snap a two-game losing skid, will visit the New York Rangers on Sunday.
